Engineering firm ABB today said it has bagged orders worth Rs 127 crore from power producer NTPC for supplying engineering products.
The firm has won orders valued at Rs 127 crore from NTPC for its Mauda Super Thermal and Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Electric power projects, ABB said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"ABB's globally proven transformers technology will facilitate efficient transmission of electricity from the power generation plant," the company's India Vice-Chairman and Managing-Director Biplab Majumder said.
The scope of work includes designing, supplying and commissioning of transformers for the Mauda plant in Maharashtra, which would increase and strengthen the power supply to state in the western region, the filing added.
ABB would also supply transformers for NTPC's Tapovan Vishnugad plant in Uttarakhand. The project would cater to the power demand of states in the northern region, it added.
Shares of ABB were trading at Rs 494.60, up 3.52% on the BSE.
