ABB today reported a 41.70% increase in net profit at Rs 218.68 crore for the year ended December 31, 2005 as against Rs 154.32 crore in FY04.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 3,014.14 crore for the year ended December 31, 2005 from Rs 2,305.57 crore in FY04.The company has posted a net profit of Rs 94.62 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 as against Rs 70.82 crore in Q4FY04. Total income increased from Rs 762.18 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 to Rs 1,001.63 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2005.The board has recommended a dividend of 80% i.e Rs 8 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year ended December 31, 2005, the release added.
