Shares of Ackruti City today surged 3.57% on the BSE, on the back of the realty firm issuing a statement clarifying it did not possess any price sensitive information that could have impacted the sharp price movements its scrip has been witnessing since March this year.
"During the period from March 1, 2011 till date, the company did not possess any price sensitive information or made any announcement which could have bearing on the price or volume behaviour of the company's scrip," Ackruti City said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
From March 1, 2011 till date, the scrip has surged 9.04% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Despite a weak broader market today, shares of Ackruti City ended 3.57% higher at Rs 225.05 on the BSE. During the trade, the scrip had risen by 4.41% to touch an intra-day high of Rs 226.90.
Similarly, the counter closed at Rs 222.50, up 2.75% from its previous close on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader market benchmark Sensex finished the day at 18,222.67, down 263.78 points from previous close.
