Gujarat-based Rs 40,000 crore conglomerate Adani Group has denied all the allegations made by Arvind Kejriwal and his team in Delhi today.
Aam Aadmi Party leader and RTI activist Kejriwal today alleged that the Narendra Modi led government allotted 14,306 acres of land to Adani Group in Kutch at rates ranging from Re 1 per square metre to Rs 32 per square metre for special economic zone (SEZ). He also said that Modi favoured Adani Group by manipulating bids on power purchase.
Reacting to Kejriwal's allegations, Adani Group in a statement clarified that the land for the SEZ at Mundra was allotted following the process of law. "The allegation related to coal supply by GMDC is baseless. Till date, we have not received any coal from GMDC," the statement added.
The Adani statement further refuted the allegations and added, "These baseless allegations seem to be motivated and lack deeper understanding of the matter. They do not merit further response."
