Adani Power has registered net loss of Rs 293 crore for the financial year ended March 2012, as against a profit of Rs 523.75 crore in the previous year. The Adani Group-owned company attributed the loss to “the national issue of unavailability of domestic coal, high prices of imported coal and limited availability of transmission lines”.
For the fourth quarter, the company posted net loss of Rs 290.16 crore, against a profit of Rs 174.32 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
