AI to shift operations to new terminal at Chennai airport
Flight IX- 671 to Colombo that takes off at 7 am will be the first flight to leave the new terminal
BS Reporter Chennai National carrier Air India on Wednesday said it would shift all its international operations to the newly-constructed international terminal complex at Chennai Airport with effect from November 15. Air India Express, the subsidiary of the national carrier, will also shift its operations to the new terminal on the same day, it said. It had already shifted all its domestic arrivals to the new terminal. Flight IX- 671 to Colombo that takes off at 7 am will be the first flight to leave the new terminal.
All domestic passengers flying on its international flight AI-967 to Thiruvananthapuram, AI-975 to Goa, AI-981 to Hyderabad and Ahmedabad and AI-143/043 to Delhi will also check-in from here. However, passengers of AI -346 to Singapore and AI -263 to Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram - Male will check -in from the new terminal only from Nov 16, the company said.
