AIMA to organise 2-day convention

All India Management Association (AIMA) will organise a two-day management convention which is expected to be attended by over 1,000 professionals from corporate world, academia and politics.
 
Christened AIMA-Naval Tata National Management Convention to pay tribute to the doyen of Indian industry, Naval Tata, the convention will witness a host of industry leaders to talk about their experience and mistakes so that the young professionals take a lesson or two, said AIMA president R Gopalakrishnan.
 
Gopalakrishnan said, "The country is in a state of resurgence and growth. The goal of AIMA is to lead the management movement because more than ever before the role of young professional managers is at the forefront."
 
He added AIMA was focussed on raising the professional competence of managers to enhance their contribution in building and developing the nation.
 
"The changing role of AIMA in the management space has motivated us to go for a brand refreshment. That has made us evolve a contemporary logo to replace the old one," Sunil Alagh, senior vice-president of AIMA, said. Alagh and Gopalakrishnan unveiled the new logo of AIMA.
 
The speakers who are expected to address the convention include Kumar Mangalam Birla, Gautam Thapar, Rajiv Bajaj, Nandan Nilekani, Sitaram Yechury, Baba Kalyani, Subir Raha, Naina Lal Kidwai, B Muthuraman, Rajive Kaul and Tarun Das.
