Air Costa, a regional airline promoted by Vijayawada-based LEPL group, received air operators permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, clearing the way to start its scheduled flight operations.
The company stated in a press release that it would start operations with two E-170 and an equal number of E-190 Embraer E-Jets. Initially, the airlines would connect to Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. Thereafter, it would spread its wings to other cities like Pune, Goa, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam.
“Air Costa is expected to launch flight operations in the month of October and will start sale of tickets soon,” LEPL chief executive officer, KN Babu, said.
Besides aviation, LEPL is into urban infrastructure, renewable energy, hospitality, education and entertainment.
