Air Deccan connects Kolkata with Bangalore

Air Deccan, India's first low cost carrier today announced the launch of daily flights to Kolkata from Mumbai and Bangalore.

The company has deployed Airbus A 320's on both the routes, Mumbai "� Kolkata - Mumbai and Bangalore "� Kolkata - Bangalore.

The bookings for these sectors will open on September 13 2005. Tickets can be booked for travel starting October 5, 2005 till January 31, 2006 with 500 tickets priced at Re 1 (plus taxes) and 1,000 tickets priced at Rs 500 (plus taxes), a company press release said.

Capt Gopinath said: "Keeping in mind our passengers' requests and suggestions we are launching these sectors before the Durga Puja celebrations. Kolkata will now be connected with all the metros."
