Air Deccan launches daily flights to Puttaparthi

Air Deccan announced the launch of daily direct flights to Puttaparthi from Hyderabad and Chennai. While on the Hyderabad-Puttaparthi sector, Air Deccan announced an inaugural fare of Rs 1,000 valid till November 20, 2005.

Fare on the Chennai-Puttaparthi sector begins at Rs 500 and goes up to Rs 2,400. The regular fare on the Hyderabad-Puttaparthi sector also starts at Rs 500 and goes up to Rs 2,400.

"Puttaparthi is currently not connected by any other airline. We plan to begin with Chennai and Hyderabad and later connect Puttaparthi to other metros," said Gopinath, managing director of Air Deccan. A 48-seater ATR 42-500 has been deployed on these sectors, informed the company in a press release.
