"Connecting to the country's IT capital Bengaluru, the newly launched flights would boost the economies of Thiruvananthapuram by simplifying the travel options for both in-bound and out-bound passengers," said Shyson Thomas, managing director of Air Pegasus, which is promoted by Decor Aviation Private Ltd.
Thiruvananthapuram is a major IT hub in Kerala and contributes 80 per cent of the state's software exports.

Launched under the brand name Air Pegasus, the airline will begin with two ATRs with 66 seats each, in its fleet and one more aircraft is scheduled to enter service in the first week of April.
Decor Aviation, a part of the Decor Group of Companies, currently provides ground-handling services to Indian and foreign carriers across 11 airports in India.
Based out of Kempegowda International airport in Bengaluru, Air Pegasus would subsequently scale up its services gradually to connect Kochi, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Belgaum, Rajahmundry Pondicherry and Madurai, added Thomas.
