Sethi has been heading the brand marketing for BlackBerry's Asia Pacific region business and also in the marketing and communications division of telecom major Airtel. She has consumer and brand marketing experience of over a decade to back her in the new stint, said a company announcement.
AirAsia India Chief Executive Officer Mittu Chandilya said, “I am thrilled to have someone of her experience and energy to join us and realize our vision to revolutionize the Indian Aviation industry”.
In a statement Sethi said, "We are absolutely committed to bringing affordable fares with a sharp focus on customer safety and quality of service to the Indian market.”
She was featured as the top 50 most talented brand builders of India (Brand Leadership Awards 2013) and was recognized by Global Youth Marketing Forum with the "Star Youth Achievers Award 2013" for her work in youth marketing at BlackBerry.
She is an executive scholar in Marketing and Sales Management from Kellogg School of management, Northwestern University, USA and an MBA in Marketing from Amity Business School, India.
