The government today said that outstanding payment of over Rs 4,000 crore are due against various national, domestic and foreign airlines till June this year.
"Pursuant to issuance of notice by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the dues have been settled by the airlines. Major defaulting airlines which did not settle their dues even after issuance of notice are Air India and Kingfisher Airlines," Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi told Lok Sabha in a written reply.
