Bharti Tele has launched 'Airtel Gold', the country's first 64K post-paid SIM card in order to create a premium segment within its post-paid category. |
This is the first such differentiation offered by service operator amongst post- paid segment. The 64K SIM card will provide a private phone book having an memoray space for 400 numbers, free value-added services trial for a month, such as ring tone downloads and news alert services. |

As a special bonus customer will also be provided with an ICICI-HPCL gold credit card free of charge for a full year. |

The new SIM card will be made available to both new as well as the existing post-paid customers. Though the new card comes to new customers with no additional cost, the customer needs to pay the applicable activation fee and security deposit besides consumer will also have to opt for bill plan greater than 350 rentals. |

The existing customers are also been nudged to use the cards. However, those consumers with a retail plan (and not corporate plan) with bill plan of more than 350 can only avail of this 64K SIM card. |

The company will also give personalised service. Based on the usage pattern of its new customers over a three month period, suggestions would then be provided to them on a tariff plan which is best suited for them. |

According to sources within Bharti, the new SIM card is compatible with all phase 2+ handsets and all makes and brands of cellphones. |
