In a bid to retain their subscribers in a highly competitive market, Bharti Airtel and other telecom incumbents – Vodafone, Idea cellular and BSNL – have been offering additional data offers, new recharge plans and other benefits.
India’s leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel is now offering massive 4 GB 3G/4G data per day in a new recharge plan of Rs 999. The prepaid recharge offer is valid for 28 days and comes bundled with free voice calls – local and STD.
Last year, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio stormed the telecom sector with affordable data plans with free voice call, SMS and free national roaming that triggered the biggest data war in telecom sector.
In comparison to the current Airtel Rs 999 recharge plan, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio offers 90 GB 4G data coupled with free voice calls, national roaming, SMS and Jio apps in Rs 999 plan. The plan is valid for 90 days and comes with unlimited data benefit – post 90 GB data cap, the speed reduces to 128 Kbps. Also, the plan is valid for both, prepaid and postpaid users.
Recently, Jio also revised its entry-level Rs 149 plan, which now offers unlimited data benefits – 2 GB data cap -- coupled with free voice calls, national roaming, SMS and Jio apps. The plan is valid for 28 days.
