Airtel ties up with Apple for 4G services

The company has introduced a new 4G plan for customers with heavy usage - 10 GB 4G data plan will cost Rs 1,000

Bharti Airtel, the only operating 4G service provider in the country, on Friday announced launch of the long-term evolution (LTE)services that will be available on Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones, in Bangalore.
 
Subscribers will be able to use the 4G network for data while the calls will still be routed through the old 2G or 3G networks. The company has introduced a new 4G plan for customers with heavy usage - 10 GB 4G data plan will cost Rs 1,000.
 
The user will have to get his existing SIM replaced with a 4G SIM, the company said in a statement.
