Akiko callNet, a man power solution centre and call centre training institute, is setting up its first call centre training institute in the state at Visakhapatnam. "We are planning to open 10 call centre training institutes in Andhra Pradesh by January-end. Our first call centre will be opened in Visakhapatnam on December 20. We will open such centres in Hyderabad soon," said Anil Pathak, the country manager of Akiko callNet. Pathak said that more than 50,000 jobs were expected to be generated in the call centre segment in the state by 2004. "Keeping this in mind we are planning to expand our network in Andhra Pradesh as early as possible," he said. Akiko callNet runs 62 call centre training institutes across the country. The leading call centre training institute claims it has trained about 20,000 students and provided them with placements in the country. "We have tied up with Train Now, a US-based company, to offer international curriculum and global certification. As per the placement guarantee, the students who complete the training are being assisted in finding placement," he said.Akiko has tied up with Sloka Infotech in Vizag to run its call centre training institute, Pathak added.
