The situation in Jindal Stainless’ unit in Kalinga Nagar was normal today with smooth running of factory operations, a day after the steel unit witnessed incidents of violence leading to the arrest of fifteen persons, including ten villagers and five security guards.
MD Burma, the associate vice-president of Jindal Stainless said, “The company has incurred a loss of Rs 1.5 crore in the past two days owing to non-production. Production was halted for two shifts on Sunday.”
According to sources, the total loss of property of the company is calculated to be more than Rs 4 crore.
