Sterlite-controlled Bharat Aluminium (Balco) effected the highest increase at Rs 1,100 a tonne for ingots, while the Birlas-owned Hindalco and public sector major National Aluminium (Nalco) raised prices by Rs 1,000 a tonne each.
Prices of aluminium wire rods too has been raised by Rs 500 a tonne, industry players confirmed.
