Amara Raja Batteries Ltd posted a 15.22 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 122.09 crore for the quarter ending June 30 this fiscal, as against a net of Rs 105.96 crore for the corresponding period last year.
Total income of the company during the quarter under review was up 11.26 per cent at Rs 1,144.97 crore, when compared with Rs 1,029.03 crore for the same period last year.
Expenses too jumped 9.64 per cent to Rs 969.79 crore, as against Rs 884.46 crore seen in the corresponding period last year.
Shares of Amara Raja Batteries on Friday gained 3.70 per cent to close at Rs 972.20 on the BSE, as against the previous day's closing of Rs 937.55.
