Amara Raja Batteries are to be major suppliers of the premium range of Amaron Zero Maintenance, long lasting batteries to 'Maruti Swift', the latest offering from Maruti Udyog. According to a release issued by Amara Raja Batteries to the BSE, the company has ongoing OE agreements with Maruti, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Honda, General Motors, Fiat & Hindustan Motors and is exclusive supplier to Daimler Chrysler, Ford and Swaraj Mazda.Jay Galla, MD of Amara Raja Batteries said "It is a matter of pride that within a year of signing an OE deal with Maruti, we are now exclusive battery providers for their latest model - Swift.
