Ambica Agarbathies plans wind farm in state

Andhra Pradesh-based Ambica Agarbathies and Aroma Industries Ltd (AAAIL) is planning to venture in wind farming business on a big scale.
 
The company is planning to set up a 20 mw capacity wind farm in Gujarat with an investment of Rs 100 crore, if the state government allows third party sale of power generated from wind farms.
 
The company is also planning to diversify in hotels, information technology and Jatropha cultivation besides the wind farm.
 
"We are planning to diversify into wind energy. We are in talks with various other state governments as well," said Ambica Krishana, managing director, Ambica Agarbathies on Friday.
 
The company is also planning to tie up with a Germany-based company for technical collaboration on wind farming. "The technical collaboration with the German company will enable us to produce energy even if the speed of wind is very low," said Krishana.
 
The company has reported a turnover of Rs 36 crore in the last financial year and is eyeing to close the current financial year with a turnover exceeding Rs 40 crore.
 
The company with a strong brand equity in incense business has developed well knit distributor and dealer network throughout the country for marketing its products.
