AmEx launches new prepaid card

American Express today announced the launch of the new prepaid American Express Global Travel Card

The American Express Global Travel Card is a reloadable prepaid travel card available in three currencies - US Dollar, Euro and Pound Sterling.

It has features which include access to the American Express Global Assist service anywhere in the world for help with replacing lost passports, translation services, emergency legal and medical referrals, lost luggage and theft assistance, a free backup card at purchase, free card replacement services, as well as access to emergency cash. Additionally, all travellers choosing the American Express Global Travel Card would be able to enjoy American Express’ exclusive merchant offers and discounts.
