A P Kurian, chairman of Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi), today expressed confidence that the market would stabilise, and added that this was the appropriate time for retail investors to invest in mutual funds."There can be ups and downs in the market. However, I believe it will stabilise," Kurian said.Investors should stay invested for a long time to get better yield, he added.Kurian said there was room for more players in the mutual fund industry. "There is certainly scope for more players. We have so far only made a beginning," he said adding three new players would launch their schemes soon, and another three were in the pipeline.
