The signing of the agreement between Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (Campco) and Amul regarding the usage of Campco's chocolate factory at Puttur by Amul has been postponed.

It will be signed after Amul gets the approval from the special general body meeting, Campco president Rangamurthy said.

As for the export of arecanut to Pakistan, he said Campco has taken a decision against it as Pakistan has offered Rs 45 to Rs 50 per kg, while the market rate in India is Rs 75 to Rs 80 per kg.

Campco's chocolate factory, one of the country's largest and most sophisticated, is located at Puttur, about 55 kms from Mangalore. Campco has its own chocolate brands.
