Andhra Bank has posted a rise of 29.49 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended December, 2009 at Rs 275.39 crore compared with Rs 212.68 crore in the previous corresponding quarter. The The bank’s total income during the quarter stood at Rs 1,826.81 crore against Rs 1,592.25 crore last year, up 14.73 per cent.
The revenue in the treasury segment came down to Rs 366.57 crore from Rs 403.24 crore while revenues in the corporate/wholesale banking segment increased to Rs 668.70 crore from Rs 576.99 crore. On the retail front, revenues zoomed from Rs 577.64 crore to Rs 748.60 crore.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the bank’s stocks were trading at Rs 107.55, up 0.56 % at IST 1430 on Monday.
