Industrialist Anil Ambani today met key ministers and senior government officials here, a day after he accused the Oil Ministry of helping Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Industries (RIL) renege its commitment on supplying gas to his group firm.
Telecom Minister A Raja was among those that Ambani met, sources said.
Earlier in the day in a conference call with reporters, Anil said Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL) will request the Supreme Court to take up the gas supply matter for final hearing on September one. Both the Oil Ministry and RIL have been served notices on RNRL's move, he added.
Meanwhile, in Lok Sabha, members of Samajwadi Party raised a din demanding the resignation of Petroleum Minister Murli Deora for his role in the gas dispute.
The government's petition seeking annulment of the Bombay High Court order on gas supply and the cross-appeals filed by RIL and RNRL are scheduled to come up for consideration on September 1.
