For the full year, net profit was at Rs 18.07 crore, up 32.96 per cent from Rs 13.59 crore during 2006-07. Revenues increased 41.42 per cent to Rs 154.39 crore from Rs 109.17 crore last year. Exports to Israel, Italy, Japan, France, US and Singapore accounted for over 20 per cent of the turnover. The company has declared a dividend of 15 per cent.
Company managing director Hair Babu said the growth was consistent with the company's expectations. Anu's, which raised Rs 802.2 crore through an IPO, would now focus on contract research and manufacturing services (CRAMS). It plans to use the IPO proceeds to diversify and expand its business by forward integration. Besides, it will set up a new plant for manufacturing drug intermediates including active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) at Visakhapatnam, a company release stated.
