AP, Oracle extend pact on student training

The Institute of Electronic Governance (IEG), an IT initiative of the Andhra Pradesh government, has extended its memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Oracle India to implement the latter's Oracle Academy's computer science curriculum in 400 institutions in the state.

Under this, 50,000 students and 1,000 faculty in the state will be introduced to Oracle technology in Oracle Academy's 'Introduction to Computer Science and Advanced Computer' offerings. Additionally, the academy''s content and courseware will be offered as elective modules in at least 100 institutions.

Furthermore, under the 'Train the Trainer' courses, 150 faculty members will use the academy's infrastructure to train other teachers.
