Apollo Health Street plans to raise momey through IPO

Apollo Health Street (AHS), the healthcare services management unit Apollo Hospitals Group is planning to rise money through an initial public offering (IPO). 

Application seeking approval from Securities and Exchange Board of India has been filed, said company executives.

However details of the IPO were not divulged.

AHS is also planning to set up a new unit in Siruseri near Chennai spread over four acres, housing 500 people said, company's managing director, Sangita Reddy. AHS’ plans were shared at the inauguration of its 11th facility in Chennai seating 150 spread over 7000 sq ft office. 

Reddy said, ''This facility is the first step in building a significant presence in Chennai, which has been an important hub for Apollo Hospitals Group."

With over 2300 healthcare professionals delivering end to end services from 10 locations, AHS has made two strategic acquisitions in two years. 

Over 30 per cent of their business comes from the US.
