Apollo Hospitals ties up with Johns Hopkins

Apollo Hospitals Group of India and Johns Hopkins Medicine International of the US have entered into a collaboration for developing concepts, technology, tests and operating systems in healthcare services, clinical research and medical education.
 
Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Prathap C Reddy, and chief executive officer of Johns Hopkins, Steven J Thompson, signed a memorandum of understanding in this regard at Baltimore in Marayland today, according to a press release here on Monday.
 
As per the MoU, the areas of collaboration between the two healthcare majors include continuing medical education programmes, nurse education, telemedicine, second opinion services, partnerships with clinical departments and participation in clinical trials.
 
With regard to administrative and consultancy partnerships, "definitive agreements with financial frameworks will be discussed and concluded in the next 90 days", the press release stated.
