Healthcare services provider, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, will be opening four more cosmetic clinics – in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata -- each with an investment of between Rs 4 crore and Rs 6 crore within the next one year, according to group executive director Sangita Reddy.
Announcing the opening of its cosmetic clinic in Hyderabad on Monday, the second in the proposed series of six, with the first being in Chennai, Reddy said the foray into the new healthcare segment was aimed at giving a scientific approach with a structured package.
“Cosmetic clinics give good returns, with the return on investment (RoI) being upwards of 25 per cent. Currently, we have active cosmetic programmes in our hospitals, and most of which (45 per cent) are coming from the districts,” she said, adding that more such initiatives including sports clinics were in the pipeline. She, however, declined to draw any time line.
Apollo’s cosmetic clinic in Hyderabad, a dedicated centre within the Apollo Health City, will provide the complete range of cosmetic services including body shaping, liposuction, rhinoplasty, hair restoration, face list, breast enhancement and scar correction. Beauty business is a $1-trillion market worldwide, of which $500 billion is taken away by beauty shops and the remaining left for cosmetic services, he added.
