Areva T&D India & State Bank of Patiala Q4 results

Electrical equipment manufacturer Areva T&D India today announced a 75 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 at Rs 35 crore against Rs 20 crore in the year-ago period.
 
The company said it would invest Rs 400 crore over the next three years for expanding its manufacturing capacity. It was planning to set up a transformer factory at Vadodara in Gujarat that would entail an investment of Rs 200 crore, a company release said.
 
The factory would commence production in December 2008, it said, adding that the company was also planning to expand its Bangalore instrument transformers unit.
 
State Bank of Patiala net at Rs 366 cr
 
State Bank of Patiala has reported a net profit of Rs 366 crore for 2006-07 and has declared a dividend of 400 per cent.
 
The bank's total business crossed Rs 68,000 crore, the bank said in a release. Personal deposits grew to Rs 1,835 crore in 2006-07, an all time high for the bank. The capital adequacy of the bank stood at 12.38 per cent.
