Arham Plastics has commissioned a new plant in Sriperumbudur, primarily to meet demand accruing from increased requirements of Korean auto major Hyundai.

With the commissioning of the new plant, Arham will be doubling its auto components production capacity, a company release said.

Hyundai has undertaken a major expansion of its facility in Sriperumbudur and Arham's new plant will supply high-precision plastic parts and automobile sub-assemblies to Hyundai.

Arham Plastics, a member of Chennai-based National Plastics Group, has a strong presence in the domestic and export markets for its plastic injection moulded products for the auto industry.

Arham's auto component business has been growing steadily due to the current boom in the automobile sector. It was awarded TS 16949 certification by RWTUV of Germany.
