Ashok Leyland October sales up 27.6%

Ashok Leyland sold 4,281 vehicles in October 2005, higher by 27.6 per cent compared to the 3,356 vehicles sold in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In the first seven months (April-October) of 2005-06, the company sold 32,496 vehicles (26,936 vehicles), higher by 20.64 per cent.

In October 2005, Ashok Leyland's domestic sales of its mainstay, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, stood at 2,712 units (2,512 units), an increase of 8 per cent. The sales of medium duty passenger vehicles in October 2005 stood at 1,152 units (610 units), a jump of 88.9 per cent.
