Hinduja flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported 88.54 per cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended September at Rs 167.05 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 88.6 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income during the period under review stood at Rs 2718.76 crore as against Rs 1583.24 crore in the quarter under review last fiscal, up 71.72 per cent, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company's scrips closed the day at Rs 75.50 per share up 1.21 per cent from the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
