Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported an over two-fold jump in total commercial vehicle sales to 8,400 units in June compared to the same month last year.
The company sold 3,966 units in the same month last year, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.
Domestic sales stood at 7,499 units in June against 3,478 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, it added.
The company's commercial vehicle exports increased nearly twofold to 901 units in the month, compared to 488 units in the year-ago period.
The company also reported an over two-fold increase in domestic sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles to 7,403 units from 3,428 units in the same month last year.
