Aviation Turbine (ATF) is a special type of petroleum product, used in airlines.

At 1330 hrs, ATF far-month August contract declined 2.01 per cent to Rs 7,180 per barrel, clocking a business volume of 3 barrel on the Multi-Commodity Exchange.

Similarly, ATF for July contract was down 1.75 per cent to Rs 7,080 per barrel after moving between Rs 7,077 and Rs 7,188 per barrel. The volume of business stood at 96 bbl.

Weakness in crude oil on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange and slowdown in demand from airlines, mainly pulled ATF futures prices down in the futures market here, said a MCX trader.

At TOCOM, crude oil for July contract was trading 650 yen down at 89,290 yen per kilolitre.

Domestic ATF prices moves in tandem with crude oil prices in global markets.
