AtHomeDiva: Quikr's new home beauty service

The move comes two months after the company bought Salosa for an undisclosed amount

Online classifieds listing company Quikr on Wednesday said it has launched a home beauty service AtHomeDiva, a segment which it sees higher growth due to increase in demand.

Tiger Global Management backed Quikr has rebranded Salosa to AtHomeDiva, a Gurgaon home beauty services firm which it acquired two months ago. The move comes two months after the company bought Salosa for an undisclosed amount. The firm said the new service help in building synergies across verticals.

"(AtHomeDiva) is a QuikrServices business that has scaled fast on both demand and supply side in virtually no time with practically zero marketing," Quikr founder and chief executive officer Pranay Chulet said in a statement. "On the demand side, the business had access to a large base of women users from not just QuikrServices, but also QuikrGoods and QuikrHomes, and on the supply side, we were able to on-board a large number of beauty experts from QuikrJobs."

Quikr competes with Naspers backed OLX in the listing space in India. Both firms claim leadership in the horizontal classifieds listing space. Quikr has been expanding into verticals such as cars, homes, jobs and beauty as it sees business booming from small towns across India.

"AtHomeDiva currently offers services for consumers in Delhi, Gurgaon and Bengaluru with a team of certified and reliable stylists that have undergone both quality and background checks. The number of beauty service requests received on our platform has been increasing by 100% month-on-month and we have scaled up our operations in multiple cities and hired stylists to meet this growing demand. In addition to attractive economics, AtHomeDiva will also help further grow our base of loyal users who come back to Quikr again and again," PD Sundar, Head of QuikrServices, said.
