With a jump in countrywide sales of 163 per cent, Audi, the German car manufacturer is set to achieve its ambitious India sales target, a company release here said.
There has been an upswing of 525 per cent in the sales growth in July as compared to the same period the previous year. Audi has pumped up its sales of cars for the first seven months to 595 cars as compared to a figure of 226 cars fro the same period the previous year.

The new Audi A4 sedan, launched in July this year, also played a major part in achieving the record of delivering 125 cars to customers in July this year as compared to 20 units for the same period last year, the company said. Audi had also introduced its international model range in the country and also has plans to bring anew sophisticated luxury car in India soon.
“True to our philosophy of “Vorsprung durch Technik”, the latest sales figures show that we have made an impressive progress in order to achieve our ambitious goals”, said Tiers. “We will continue to focus on the customer-orientated products for the Indian market. In coming months, the customers can expect new sophisticated and sporty luxury models,” he added.
