Aureole Inspecs, a joint venture between Aureole India and British eyewear company Inspecs, today said it would introduce three international brands early next year to enhance its offerings in the country.
The company, which is the exclusive licensee for global eyewear brands, including FCUK, CAT, Speedo and Austin Reed in India, is also looking at tripling its retail presence in the next one year.
"We are definitely introducing three international eyewear brands in the country between January to March 2010," Auerole Inspecs Managing Director Vineet Sharma told PTI.
He declined to name the brands, but said that out of the three, two would be in the kids segment.
The company, in which Aureole India holds 51 per cent stake and the rest by the British firm, has also entered into an agreement with entertainment house MTV and launched a range under the 'Framed by MTV' and 'Roadies' brands.
The tie up with MTV is part of Aureole Inspecs' plan to penetrate into smaller cities and towns.
"We have only been selling premium brands but with the MTV eyewear range, we will be able to enter in to smaller towns and cities. So by the end of the next year we will be able to triple our retail points to around 1,500 stores ," Sharma said.
At present, the company has around 550 retail points across the country. "Our aim is to deeply penetrate in the country. So we are ramping up the distribution channels in the states."
