Aurobindo Pharma today said it has recieved approval from the Canadian health regulator to sell its pain relieving drug Cyclobenzaprine tablets in the country.
The company has received approval for its abbreviated new drug submission for Cyclobenzaprine tablets (10 mg) from the Health Canada, Aurobindo said in a statement.
The tablets are the generic equivalent of Apotex Inc's 'ApoCyclobenzaprine'. The drug is used to treat muscle spasm associated with acute musculo-skeletal conditions, it said.
With these approvals Aurobindo now has 12 products approved by Health Canada.
Shares of Aurobindo were at Rs 914.10 on the BSE in late afternoon trade, down 2.05 per cent from its previous close.
