With an aim to boost its export, Australia has taken an initiative to attract Indian companies to do business and accelerate Australia’s commercial engagement with India.
As part of the initiative, the Australian Trade Commission is running a series of seminars in India on ‘Doing Business with Australia’ to increase awareness about Australian business and industry amongst the Indian business community. A similar seminar was also held here at Nashik.
The seminar showcased the potentials for business and trade opportunities with Australia for businesses in Nashik in sourcing Australian technology, products, services and expertise; investing in Australia and potential joint venture partnerships and investments.
The seminar highlighted Australian expertise in building and construction and green buildings and the value addition of Australian companies to businesses in Nashik.
Speaking at the seminar, Peter Forby, Australian Consul General for Western India and Trade Commissioner, said, “India is among the most significant export markets for Australia. Australia can provide value-added competitive solutions and expertise both in traditional and emerging sectors for businesses in Nasik.”
“Australia is at the forefront of the constantly evolving standards in the international building and construction industry. Australian firms have significant expertise in offering cutting-edge solutions, products, technologies and services especially in green buildings for the building and construction industry. We will facilitate linkages and partnerships for Indian project developers and architecture firms with Australian building and construction firms,” he said.
“With India’s green building movement picking up momentum, Australian companies can offer a range of products, technologies, expertise, services and project management capabilities for Indian companies for design, construction and management of green buildings,” Forby added.
