Aventis Pharma Q3 net jumps 62.84%

Aventis Pharma has posted a net profit of Rs 42.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004 as compared to Rs 26.1 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2003, up 62.84 per cent.

Total income has increased from Rs 164.9 crore in the second quarter of the previous fiscal to Rs 192.3 crore.

BASF India Q2 net up 23% at Rs 12.84 cr

BASF India has posted a net profit of Rs 12.84 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, up 23 per cent from Rs 10.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Total income (net of excise) has increased 11.86 per cent to Rs 178.01 crore.

Castrol India Q3 net up 8.8%

Lubricants maker Castrol India Ltd said on Thursday its third-quarter net profit rose 8.8 per cent to Rs 31.06 crore compared with Rs 28.56 crore a year earlier, company officials said.

Total income rose 6.9 per cent to Rs 310 crore from Rs 290 crore a year earlier.

Essar Shipping Q2 net jumps 46.3% at Rs 30.89 cr

Essar Shipping has posted a 46.3 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 30.89 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, compared with Rs 21.10 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company's net income from operations rose 70.13 per cent at Rs 233.11 crore during the quarter, compared with a net income of Rs 131.14 crore, reported in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Geometric Soft Q2 net up 10% at Rs 5.08 cr

Geometric Software Solutions has posted a net profit of Rs 5.08 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, up 10 per cent from Rs 4.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Total income has increased 40 per cent to Rs 25.02 crore from Rs 17.91 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2003.

The group has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 6.33 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, 19.2 per cent higher than its net profit of Rs 5.31 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2003.

Hikal Q2 net up 26%

Hikal has recorded a net profit of Rs 7.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, an increase of 26 per cent over a net profit of Rs 6.04 crore, reported in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company's total turnover for the quarter rose 29 per cent at Rs 47.91 crore, against Rs. 37.06 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

The company's total turnover for the half year ended September 30, 2004, increased at Rs 88.85 crore, compared with Rs 69.42 crore, for the corresponding period in the previous year, representing an increase of 28 per cent.

Net profit for the period stood at Rs 14.34 crore, a rise of 25 per cent, against Rs 11.48 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Syngenta India Q3 net up 24.78% at 18.73 cr

Syngenta India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 18.73 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2004, as compared with Rs 15.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2003, an increase of 24.78 per cent.

Total income increased from Rs 106.02 crore in the same quarter of the previous year to Rs 162.9 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2004, up 53.65 per cent.
