Avesthagen, Bangalore-based systems biology company, and Tecom Investments, through its Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech), have signed an agreement to market and launch new products in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. |
According to Villoo Morawala-Patell, founder, chairperson and managing director, Avesthagen, "The agreement is to market products developed by us in predictive, preventive, personalised healthcare and environment-friendly products." |

"The first project to be undertaken will include the launch and commercialisation of BioPerceptä, an eco-friendly and biodegradable plastic in the GCC region," she added. |

The agreement was signed by Villoo Morawala-Patell, founder, chairperson and managing director, Avesthagen and Dr Abdulqader Alkhayat, executive director of DuBiotech. |

Avesthagen also plans to establish a conversion plant to process BioPerceptä within the next two years. |
