To tap the huge potential in the country, Axis would strengthen its domestic presence through its various partner programmes and resellers aiming to reach Tier-I and II cities, the company's Country Manager Prakash Prabhu told reporters here.

Axis had set up its first India sales office seven months ago. It would open two more offices in Mumbai and Delhi next month, Prabhu said.

In addition to Anixter, the company has appointed Ingram Micro as a distributor.

The company also plans to expand its portfolio of network video cameras and related solutions to address retail, infrastructure and transportation sectors which it has identified as high-growth segments.

"India's inherent strengths in information technology in particular, should help us drive new applications for digital video surveillance and our partner programmes will be critical in enabling deeper relationships", Prabhu said.
