Aurangabad-based Auto component manufacturer Bagla Group, a Rs 800 crore company has formed a 50:50 joint venture with French contract research and engineering firm Danielson Engineering (DE).
The JV offers offer products and engineering services such as design, engineering, development, prototyping, manufacturing and testing of prototypes of powertrain including propulsion system for aircraft, its sub-systems and critical parts for application in various areas including automotive, aeronautics, aerospace and engineering industries to customers in India and in the other parts of the world.
Commenting on the joint venture, Rishi Kumar Bagla, chairman and managing director, Bagla Group said, “The signing of this agreement establishes BG’s relationship with an outstanding R & D company enabling it to participate in the growing Indian market by bringing technologies that help in light weighting, meeting emission norms & enhancing performance of powertrain, its sub-systems & critical parts.”
Bernard Delaporte, president and CEO, Group Danielson said, “Danielson Engineering has advanced R & D capabilities and substantial technical know-how supported by state of the art facilities and very well qualified & experienced team of people.”
Adding further Delaporte mentioned, “The R & D facilities are integrated with a state of the art manufacturing plant that enables it to prototype entire powertrain its sub-systems & critical parts in a short span of time. Over the years, the company has developed innovative technologies and solutions for customers in Europe as well as its own products."
Both the companies declined to share the financial details of the JV.
