Bajaj Auto today reported a 21% jump in motorcycle sales in August at 1,80,570 units, as against 1,49,415 units in the same month last year.The company said its total two-wheeler sales during the month also increased 11% at 1,82,013 units as compared to 1,64,020 units in the same period last year.Three-wheeler sales during the month also improved 15% at 26,150 units as against 22,782 units in the same month last year.Total exports during the month surged 36% at 32,283 units as against 23,752 units. Cumulative motorcycle sales for the April-Aug period jumped 34% at 9,19,872 units as against 6,87,174 units in the corresponding period last year.
