Bajaj Auto is eyeing a 27 per cent market share in Gujarat by the year-end following the revamp of its entry level motorcycles and the success of its premium segment Pulsar. |
The company commands a 21 per cent in the Gujarat motorcycle market at present. |

Among the three motorcycle segments, Bajaj is the leader in the entry and premium segments in Gujarat, while it lags behind in the executive segment. |

Bajaj has a 55 per cent share in the entry level segment and a 78 per cent share in the premium segment. |

Of the total 30,000-odd motorcycles sold every month in Gujarat, entry level motorcycles account for 6,500, while the premium segment sells 3,500 units. The executive segment is the most popular, with around 20,000 units sold every month. |

"We have revamped the entry level range, including the Boxer AR and the Boxer AT, by offering Super 100 engines. With the newly launched CT 100, that has redefined standards in the entry level segment, Bajaj will consolidate its position in Gujarat," V Vasu, regional manager, two wheelers, Bajaj Auto, said. |

He added that the company will raise its share in Gujarat to around 27 per cent. Bajaj sells around 6,500 vehicles per month in Gujarat, earning Rs 650 crore in revenues per year. The company expects the CT 100 alone to sell around 3000 units every month. |
