Bajaj Auto Feb sales drop 3%, exports up 10%

Total exports were at 135,149 units, against 122,727 units last year

Bajaj Auto Ltd reported a 3% drop in sales for the month of February, over the same period last year. Within this motorcycles saw a 4% fall in sales, while commercial vehicles fell by 2%, according to a press release on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, exports grew by 10%, which is the highest ever for the month of February.

Motorcycle sales for February 2013 were at 291,297 units against 301,961 units last year. Commercial vehicles sales were at 41,090 units against 41,816 units last year. The total number of vehicles sold were at 332,387 units, against 343,777 units last year.

Total exports were at 135,149 units, against 122,727 units last year.
